Dr. Sathya Vamsi Krishna completed his MBBS and MS in Orthopedics from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore, where he was awarded gold medals for his outstanding academic performance. Following his post-graduation, he pursued several fellowships in Hand and Upper Limb Surgery from renowned institutes both nationally and internationally. He is the best orthopaedic in Jayanagar.
He completed a year-long Dr. Paul Brand Fellowship in Hand and Microvascular Surgery at Christian Medical College, Vellore, and another fellowship at Ganga Hospital, Coimbatore, where he was exposed to all aspects of hand and upper limb surgery. He later worked as a Hand Surgeon in the Department of Orthopaedics at St. John’s Medical College, Bangalore, for 18 months before moving to Singapore to pursue a Fellowship training in Hand and Reconstructive Microsurgery at the National University Hospital. He also visited Upper Limb Centres in Flinders University, Adelaide, Australia, and AZ Monica Hospital, Antwerp, Belgium, as a visiting fellow. Recently, he completed his Hand and Upper Extremity Clinical Fellowship from the renowned Institute Kaplan in Barcelona, Spain.
Dr. Vamsi started the Department of Hand Surgery at Sanjay Gandhi Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedics, Bangalore, where he served as Unit Head for 5 years from 2018 to 2023. He has numerous publications to his credit and has presented papers/lectures at National and International conferences.
As a hand surgeon, Dr. Vamsi is dedicated to providing comprehensive care to patients with hand and upper extremity conditions. With over 13 years of experience in both surgical and non-surgical treatment options, he is committed to providing personalised, compassionate care to each patient.
Specialising in the diagnosis and treatment of hand and upper extremity conditions, Dr. Vamsi is a European board-certified Hand surgeon with extensive training in the latest surgical techniques. He has the expertise to help patients regain function and mobility in their hands, from complex hand fractures and nerve injuries to arthritis and carpal tunnel syndrome.
Dr. Vamsi provides a range of surgical and non-surgical treatments for hand and upper extremity conditions. From splinting and physical therapy to minimally invasive surgery and joint replacement, he works closely with each patient to develop a personalised treatment plan that meets their unique needs.
